Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-08-01

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KLILU, an app developed and published by LAKASAG. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. You can use most of the app's local, offline features without creating an account or agreeing to these Terms.

2. Description of the service

KLILU is an offline-first habit, task, project, and note-taking app. Your content is stored on your device; creating an account additionally lets you synchronize that content across your own devices.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must be at least 14 to create an account.

4. Your content

You own the routines, tasks, projects, notes, and other content you create in KLILU ("your content"). We do not claim ownership over it. We process your content only to provide the app's features to you: storing it locally, synchronizing it if you use an account, and including it in backups you export.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use KLILU to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to interfere with the service or other users' accounts, attempt to access another account without authorization, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits.

6. Offline storage, backup, and sync conflicts

The app is designed to keep working offline and to queue changes made while offline for later synchronization. When the same record is changed on two devices before they sync, the app will show you the conflict and ask you to choose which version to keep rather than silently discarding either one. You are responsible for keeping your own backup copies (Settings → Export backup) if you want a copy outside the app.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of KLILU, including cloud sync, at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on, but the offline, local-only features are designed to keep working even if cloud services are unavailable.

8. Paid features, subscriptions, and refunds

KLILU does not process payments or offer subscriptions in this release. If paid features are introduced later, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated before they become available.

9. Intellectual property

The KLILU name, the LAKASAG name, and the app's branding, design, and code (excluding your content) are owned by LAKASAG or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the KLILU or LAKASAG names or branding outside of using the app itself.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see the Account & Data Deletion page). We may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these Terms; where practical, we will tell you why.

11. Disclaimers

KLILU is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee that cloud synchronization will always be available. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LAKASAG is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of KLILU, including loss of data.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these Terms, we will update the version number and effective date below and surface the update in the app. Continuing to use an account after a material update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms: lakasagdev@gmail.com.

15. Governing law

These Terms and your use of KLILU are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Québec. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply to you under applicable law. Any dispute may be brought before a court having jurisdiction under applicable law.
